Robert, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, initially trained at Chater Spain Brothers in Brighton between 1976 and 1979 before joining the Sittingbourne office in late 1979. Admitted to partnership in 1984, Robert became lead partner of the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells offices of Spain Brothers in 1991, before returning to Sittingbourne and becoming lead partner there in 1996.
